O Turkey Day, O Turkey Day...

Why is it that I only make time to post on Tuesdays?!?!? I've GOT to do something about that! SO many recipes to share...a couple projects...my first sewing projects (total flop by the way...LOL!) Seriously...so much to share...I've just got to make the time to share it!

I will work on it...promise.

ANYWHO...it's "Hoo Are You" Tuesday again, friends! Link it up!

NightOwlCrafting

1. Name 5 things you are grateful for!
Family (including one sweet surprise, chubby cheeked baby we weren't expecting, but who has taken our family to an awesome new level!!)
Real Friends (which, as I get older I realize are few and far between)
Clients (it's been a good year...working my way towards SAHM...someday!!)
Paychecks (we went awhile without one when I was off work...getting back to paychecks is a good, good thing.)
Diet Coke (is an explanation even necessary? I think not...)

2. What is you favorite dish at Thanksgiving dinner?
Mashed potatoes and gravy...which is silly because we can (and do) have those any time of year...but they're still my fave.

3. Do you have any family traditions for Thanksgiving?
Not really...we just do the same thing every year. Lunch at my grandmas at noon, and dinner with Adam's family when the hunters come in at dark. Well...I take that back. We DO have a tradition...we spend Thanksgiving with family, and then the day after I make an entire turkey dinner at our house and we spend the day with friends! :)

4. Are you staying home or traveling for Thanksgiving?
We stay in town.

5. What else do you do on Thanksgiving day besides eat?
Watch FOOTBALL of course!! And sleep. I definitely intend to nap at some point. :)

And on an unrelated note...bronchitis remedies anyone??? I'm pretty sure I've got it. My chest hurts when I breathe and burns when I cough. Yucky. Any home remedies? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller? Gracias amigos.

xoxo

If you have health insurance, there is an antibiotic available for bronchitis. However, taking antibiotics for things that go away on it's own is generally not a good idea. Your body won't get the benefits of fighting off infections on it's own, and that's how we get things like MRSA.
You can try taking an antihistamine which will reduce the swelling, which will relieve some discomfort. Don't take a fever reducer, unless your very very uncomfortable. The bronchitis will be shorter if you keep a low-grade fever.
Old home remedy-- gargle salt water. I hear it actually works. Who knows though ;)

I just read an article that says anti-histamines can create drowsiness.
That may actually be a good thing, lol.
Get some sleep.
You never sleep.

i am a HUGE fan of delsum. it will totally stop your cough, but not help with the other symptoms. try taking that and see if everything else was just hurting b/c of your cough :()

You just need a shot of Black Berry Brandy! I am not even kidding it totally works. I am not one to drink alcohol, but it seriously helped so much. Anyway thanks for linking up to Hoo are you and I hope you have a fabulous Thanksgiving!

Football!!!!

I hope that you have a wonderful thanksgiving.

Also, get better soon! I don't know if this will help you, but I like to soak a towel in hot water for a few minutes than lay with the towel on my just. It's pretty soothing (:

I agree with the needing to post thing. I keep posting different tutu's because it's what I make all the time. It's easy for me to just post this and my linky party every week and forget the other stuff.

I'm with you on the real friends thing! It's so great to have those kind of friends! Which makes your day after Thanksgiving thing all the more enticing. I was really considering a game night on Wednesday night with close friends, but we won't be able to this year.

In years past, we have watched Elf on the Sunday night after Thanksgiving to bring in Christmas with friends. But now that we are married one of the single girls took over. (Which I am kind of okay with because I was phasing myself out of spending time with large groups of single people as a married couple).

On the bronchitis note, my suggestion is Mucinex DM which is what my doctor gave me. But I would honestly get to the doctor if you can because I ignored my bronchitis thinking it was allergies and it turned into pneumonia. Which then turned into inflamed lungs that put intense pressure on my ribs. Overall, not worth it. :)
